The City of Manila (Filipino: Lungsod ng Maynila), or simply Manila, is the capital of the Philippines. Located on the eastern shores of Manila Bay just west of the National Capital Region in western side of Luzon, it is one of the central hubs of a thriving metropolitan area home to over 14 million people. Occupying a total land area of 38.55 Km², it is the second most populous city in the Philippines, and the second most populous in Southeast Asia.

Batangas is located on the southwestern part of Luzon in the CALABARZON region. Its capital is Batangas City and it is bordered by the provinces of Cavite and Laguna to the north and Quezon to the east. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. The province is famous for excellent diving spots only a few hours away from Manila. Some of the more notable ones are Anilao (Mabini), Matabungkay (Lian), Punta Fuego (Nasugbu), Calatagan, and Laiya (San Juan).

Aklan is located in the Western Visayas. Its capital is Kalibo and is located at the northwest portion of Panay, bordering Antique to the southwest, Iloilo to the south, and Capiz to the east. Aklan faces the Sibuyan Sea and the province of Romblon to the north. Iloilo is a province of the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Iloilo occupies the southeast portion of Panay Island and is bordered by Antique to the west and Capiz to the north. People from Iloilo are called Ilonggos. There are two local languages spoken in the province: Hiligaynon sometimes called Ilonggo, and Kinaray-a. Spanish architecture can be seen in old buildings in downtown Iloilo.

Most residents are of Austronesian heritage. Residents of Negros are called "Negrensè". Negros Occidental is predominantly a Hiligaynon-speaking province. However, the cities and towns facing the Tañon Strait are Cebuano-speaking due to their proximity to the island-province of Cebu. English is widely spoken on both sides of the island.

The Camotes Islands are a group of four islands that form part of the province of Cebu, in the Philippines. The island group is located east of Cebu Island, southwest of Leyte Island, and north of Bohol Island. The predominant industries on the Camotes Islands are farming (including corn, rice, pigs, chicken and cattle), fishing and tourism; while a number of tourist resorts have been established, catering to both domestic and international visitors.

The explorer Ruy López de Villalobos first came to the island in 1543 and named it Las Islas Felipinas. Leyte is located in the Eastern Visayas region; it is predominantly agricultural, with rice and coconut farming, and fishing as the major source of livelihood among residents. Surigao del Norte is the northernmost of the Mindanao provinces and is an important transportation route between Visayas and Mindanao. Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. It has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometers; while the coastline is marked by a succession of reefs, small points and white, sandy beaches, its Eastern coast is relatively straight with one deep inlet: Port Pilar.
